Lisnagry had cause for great celebrations on Friday last when the school raised it’s 3rd Green Flag. Senator and local Fine Gael politician Kieran O Donnell was the guest of honour raising our flag and commended the children for their hard work over the past few years. Green flags are an international symbol of a school’s environmental sustainability and are awarded to schools for helping children to become more environmentally responsible citizens. We are very proud of all this achievement. A huge thank you and well done to everyone especially our green schools committee and co-ordinators Mrs Barry and Ms Quirke.
