Over the past few years, Lisnagry has been awarded 2 Green Schools flags. One for recycling litter and waste and another green flag for using less energy. This year we are working towards our 3rd green flag. The theme is water.
Our Committee have been extremely busy preparing an Action Plan and helping to spread the word around the school.
An audit was taken of water usage in the school and ways of reducing consumption at school and home were examined.
Push taps and cistern ball-cocks were adjusted and an in-school colouring competition helped raise awareness.
Below are some pics of our 2015/2016 green school Committee and winners of the “Be Water Smart” art competition.Their artwork will be sent on to compete in a regional and national art competition. The winner of our green code was “Slow the flow,Save H2O” composed by Grace Rennison
