For the first time in the history of the school our boys football team have won the County football Shield.
We are officially Limerick County Football Champions 2014
They defeated City Champions St. Nessan’s N.S (Mungret) in the final which was played in UL earlier today.In the semi-final they overcame the west champions Courtenay B. N.S of Newcastle West.
The scorelines were as follows:
Final: Lisnagry N.S. 0-8, St. Nessan’s N.S., Mungret 1-2
Semi-final 1: Lisnagry N.S. 5-5, Courtenay B.N.S., NCW 1-2
Semi-final 2: St. Nessan’s N.S. 3-3, St. Patrick’s N.S., Bruree 2-3
It was an excellent team performance full of character and skill. Every member of the squad contributed throughout the campaign. We are so proud of this wonderful achievement.
