Our fifth class pupils took part  in an exciting hands-on program called BizMovies.  The workshop came  to life when the children met with real dragons in their very own “dragons den” in the class.

In this real world simulation, the pupils  worked together to design, produce, market and sell tickets to their animated movie as they learned what it takes to start and run a movie production business.  Students participated in all aspects of the business as they incorporate their companies, sold shares in their company to raise Bizbucks (The BizMovie currency), and track all corporate finances. Through participation in the workshop, the children learnt  valuable and important collaborative, communication and team building skills. We are confident that this training serves as a foundation on which to build their knowledge and experience of enterprise, money management and critical thinking. This fun but informative program is cross curricular with links to Numeracy, Literacy, SPHE, Art, IT and Drama.
